Description

Our custom made chess box is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. We use a combination of 3 hardwoods, 3/4 ” mahogany for the frame and maple for the base. The 64 squares ( 2 1/4″ size) are constructed from 3/8″ cherry and maple. The frame itself is assembled using 45 degree miter joints and solid brass hardware. The chess box is fine sanded with 220 sandpaper, then 2 coats of red mahogany stain are applied and 2 final coats of satin polyurethane are added for the top finish.

The box can store chess pieces up to 2″ inches in diameter.

Dimensions : 19 1/2″ long by 9 7/8″ wide , by 3 1/2″ deep .

Weight is approximately 12 lbs.
